Meet Our Founders

Amy is an expert in art-based facilitation and curation, with nearly 20 years of leadership in Visual Thinking Strategies (VTS). She served as Executive Director of the VTS organization and is one of the few global certifiers of the method, training educators and museum professionals worldwide. Amy holds master's degrees in English and in Art Education Program Development and Evaluation. Prior to VTS she served as a Director at Studio in a School in NYC. Amy is also an accomplished visual artist, contributing to her unique blend of creative insight and facilitation mastery.

Mirka is an expert in art-based facilitation and curation, with over 15 years of leadership in Visual Thinking Strategies (VTS). A certified facilitator, coach, and curriculum designer, she is also one of a small group of global certifiers of the method. She co-founded Upper Left Projects and teaches "Facilitation in the Museum: Creating a Place for Curiosity and Wonder" at the University of Washington. Her background includes five years at Nike HQ, teaching in schools, and leading programs for Nike's design teams. She also serves on the board of Seed to Table Farm, applying facilitation to science and ecological education.

Brendan Justice is a game designer and product innovator with a passion for how people experience the world. A former top-ranked Hearthstone player, he's founded multiple startups, including a mobile game studio launched in 2021. He began his career on the founding team of a venture led by Randy Ramusack and now brings his deep experience in gameplay, systems thinking, and user interaction to his role as Head of Product & Play at ContemPlay.

Matthew Evans is a full-stack developer leading ContemPlay’s software architecture and platform development. He engineered the company’s core web application, shaping the systems that power ContemPlay’s interactive and immersive experiences. With a background in film and computer science from the University of Texas, Matthew brings a unique blend of technical precision and creative problem-solving to his work. He oversees the implementation, optimization, and ongoing evolution of ContemPlay’s digital platform.

Randy Ramusack is a technologist, entrepreneur, and former 15-year Microsoft sales and strategy executive, where he served as CTO for International Organizations, reporting to the Global Microsoft CTO. He later founded and led LQD WiFi, negotiating its acquisition by Verizon, and was the feature of a Harvard Business School Case Study for his groundbreaking and award-winning smart-city kiosk design and venture-backed execution.
